It is hard to be very good at multiple, diverse areas of the law. At Hamilton and Associates, we limit our practice to estate planning, wills, trusts, guardianships and conservatorships. We concentrate only in these areas. By doing this we feel that the Clients are getting the best possible estate plan.
To us this allows us to work with our Clients in designing and implementing their estate plan so that their assets and business interests will:
- Work how they want it to work, when they want it to work;
- Continue to maintain the lifestyle that they want and not be at the mercy of the probate court, some stranger or their children;
We spend countless hours counseling clients as to what options are available to them during all the different phases of their lives. Attorneys in Michigan are not required to take continuing education after they complete law school. However, at Hamilton and Associates, we take over 50 hours of continuing estate planning education every year in addition to teaching other estate planning attorneys.
The founding attorney, Gregory C. Hamilton, has been rated very high in legal ability and ethical standards by AVVO. For several consecutive years, he has been ranked in the top 7% of Michigan's estate planning attorneys in a blind survey conducted by Hour Magazine.
